Study for the Rings of Dorian Gray (zu: The Picture of Dorian Gray)

1968 publizierte die Petersburg Press in London »The Picture of Dorian Gray. A working script for the stage from the Novel by Oscar Wilde with original images & notes on the text by Jim Dine« (Edition B, Auflage 200: Inv. Nr. D 1969/380). Es handelt sich dabei um das Manuskript einer Bühnenfassung der Novelle. Der Text enthält Anmerkungen des Künstlers, ergänzt durch zwölf Lithographien, zum Teil Kostümentwürfe (Edition B, Auflage 200: Inv. Nr. D 1969/380). Der Sonderausgabe lagen vier Radierungen bei, im Stuttgarter Exemplar, 1969 erworben von dem bedeutenden Stuttgarter Verleger hansjörg mayer (geb. 1943), sind es Probedrucke (Inv. Nr. A 1969/4652-4655): »Red Design for Satin Heart«, »Dorian Gray at the Opium Den«, »Imprint from Dorian Gray's Stomach« sowie das vorliegende Blatt »Study for the Rings on Dorian Gray's Hand«.
