Loan requests

Folgende Angaben müssen enthalten sein:

• Exhibition venue, borrower, title of the exhibition and exhibition dates.
• Concrete selection of works (for research you can access our digital collection)
• Exposé of the curatorial concept of the exhibition
• Contact details of the persons in charge

Please send the following informations to Annette Blattmacher and Kathrin Wrona by mail:

• Facility report for the intended exhibition venue
• Environmental data (temperature, humidity, lighting) of the designated exhibition rooms for thecomparison period of the closest possible previous year

Fristen zur Einreichung (es gilt jeweils der Eingangsstempel):

• at least six months before the planned start of the exhibition for requests for a maximum of three works
• at least nine months before the planned start of the exhibition for requests for more than three works.

The loan committee (director, curators, conservators) decides on loan requests in regular loan meetings.

Please note that requests can only be discussed in the loan meeting once the environmental data havebeen received.

The borrower is responsible for the costs of the following:

• Insurance through ivm Industrieversicherungsmakler GmbH. If a state or national liability can beoffered, we will be pleased to check this. Please send us the insurance conditions
• Transport by a recognised art shipping company (combined direct door-to-door transport)
• Adequate packing of the loan
• Courier presence at the installation and dismantling of the exhibition. Transport escort if necessary
• Conservation measures necessitated by the loan (e.g. glazing, framing etc.)
• We reserve the right to charge a handling fee for the loan of more sizable groups of works.
