Staatsgalerie Floorplan Spring/Summer 24_en

Photography or filming in the Staatsgalerie is permitted in the collection for private purposes. Please note the following regulations:

  • Photography / filming is only permitted without flash, tripods, drones or selfie sticks. 
  • Any commercial exploitation of films and photos taken in the Staatsgalerie Stuttgart or on the museum grounds requires the written permission of the museum management.
  • There are different regulations for special exhibitions; please inform yourself on site.
  • You yourself are responsible for observing and safeguarding copyright. This only expires 70 years after the death of the artist. Further information can be obtained from  VG Bild-Kunst
  • If people are visible in the photos, the personal rights (right to one's own image) must also be observed.

Would you like to take professional photographs/film?

Please register in writing. Let us know the size of the team, the amount of equipment, rooms or locations (indoors and outdoors) where filming / photography is to take place and for what purpose the recordings will be used. Please allow at least one week for your request to be processed. Permissions can only be granted after a thorough examination.

Unfortunately, we do not offer vouchers. However, you can purchase admission tickets and event tickets in advance at our box office. Tickets for the collection are valid for one year from the date of purchase. Tickets for special exhibitions are valid for the entire duration of the exhibition. Guided tour and event tickets are only valid for the date booked. All tickets are freely transferable. Please note that in the case of reduced-price tickets, the relevant proof must be shown at the entrance.

Self-guided tours

Your group is welcome to visit the special exhibitions or collection with your own guide or without a guide if the group is registered via the Staatsgalerie's Führungsservice at least four weeks before the date of the visit. There are no additional costs for you apart from the admission fees and, if applicable, the fee for the group tour facility.

For current security reasons, the exhibition rooms can only be visited after leaving jackets and bags at the cloakroom or in the lockers. Personal items (of value) may still be taken into the exhibitions in transparent bags, such as mobile phones, wallets or emergency medication. These transparent bags are available free of charge at the information desk.

For school classes or groups with a lot of luggage, we offer spacious, lockable luggage trolleys.

Pencils and pads that fit into the transparent bag may also be taken along for drawing. If you bring a pad larger than A4, please contact the information desk. Groups of up to 23 people who want to work creatively are requested to use our workrooms. Please register with our guided tour service.
