The presentation of drawings and prints ranges from Nicolas Guibal to Bernhard Pankok. Nicolas Guibal (1725 1784) taught at the Académie des Arts and was both court painter and director of the ducal gallery in Ludwigsburg Palace. Bernhard Pankok (1872 1943) founded the teaching and experimental workshops of the School of Arts and Crafts; he designed stage sets for the Stuttgart Opera as well as frames and a room set for the State Gallery, which no longer exists.

The exhibition is part of the anniversary celebrations of the Stuttgart Academy of Fine Arts, which in 2011 will celebrate its founding 250 years ago as the Académie des Arts. Further exhibitions document the epochs before and after the "Academy in the Museum":
