In a joint exhibition project with 14 other museums in Germany and Switzerland, the Staatsgalerie Stuttgart is presenting works from its collection with the provenance of Alfred Flechtheim (1878-1937). The presentation includes a total of seven works from the former possession of the Jewish art dealer and collector: two paintings by Paul Klee, one painting each by Willi Baumeister, Juan Gris and Maurice de Vlaminck, and two sculptures by Ernst Barlach.
On the database-based website, all 15 museums present basic information on more than 300 works. In addition, relevant information on provenance research and literature as well as descriptions of works are presented.
