Transkription: In Oscar Schlemmer's paintings there lives a new spacial energy which has always magically attracted me. This kind of architectonic interpretation within painted space - uniquely his own - must have originated from a deep experience of the phenomena of space. It generates a premonition of a future culture of wholeness in the mind of the spectator, a culture which will reunite the arts. To me his work reveals the creative vision of a great artist which never ceases though its bearer died. WALTER GROPIUS
