The ambience of the Staatsgalerie offers the perfect setting for your indoor and outdoor events. Outside regular visiting hours, we can open the museum exclusively for you and your guests. In the world-famous new building by the celebrated architect James Stirling, an auditorium, a foyer and a rotunda are available for receptions, ceremonies, gala dinners, symposia and workshops. The old building, which dates from the nineteenth-century, offers a classicist columned hall and the Metzler Hall seminar room. On request, you can also round off your special event with a guided tour or a workshop. Contact us on a non-binding basis – we will be happy to advise you.

Our Facilities

Equipped with a stage and a projection and control room, the auditorium is ideal for symposia, workshops and panel discussions. It can also be transformed into an atmospherically lit banquet hall for gala dinners. Thanks to a mobile partition wall, you have the choice of creating an intimate atmosphere or – with the wall opened – extending your event out to the foyer.

Open Form

The dynamically curved window façade and striking green studded flooring define the overall impression of this venue for your receptions. Thanks to the spacious architecture, you have broad creative scope for setting up buffets and bars to receive your guests.

Open Form

The open-air rotunda with its quotations of historical architectural is a perfect example of post-modern architecture. An open-air staircase leads up to the sculpture patio. You can use this outdoor area at the heart of the Staatsgalerie for your special occasions, stroll among the sculptures and admire the magnificent seasonal vegetation.

Open Form

Celebrate your special occasion in a historical ambience! Our columned hall is ideal for cocktail receptions or gala dinners. Built in 1829, this magnificent space with its marble column pairs revives the spirit of our museum’s founding days. Adjacent to the hall is a semicircular area (apse), which can be part of your event area or serve as a venue for more intimate gatherings.

Capacity: max. 600 (standing) or max. 440 (seated)

Open Form

The well-lit and functionally furnished Metzler Hall, which is equipped for darkening, is ideal for seminars, workshops and press conferences. The use of the integrated video and audio technology is optional.
