What happens when our deepest fears, dreams, and visions become visible? The exhibition “Nightmare and Vision. Between Shadow and Enlightenment” in the Graphic Cabinet features around 50 works of graphic art and painting that transport visitors into the hidden worlds of the human imagination. It invites visitors to journey across four centuries back to the origins of European Surrealism and to discover influential pioneers such as Lucas Cranach, Francisco de Goya, and Max Klinger along the way.
