We make every effort to document the broad spectrum of our collections and current and past special exhibitions with informative online texts and graphics.

For modern art after 1900, however, we cannot always provide reproductions of the artworks to the extent we would like. The right to reproduce many artworks is subject to permission from the Verwertungsgesellschaft Bild-Kunst (a company controlling rights to reproduce artworks) in Bonn and is quite expensive. We have therefore been forced to reduce our reproduction activities dramatically, particularly for classic modern art and contemporary art.
